About Us

At Libertad Farms, we take pride in our commitment to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship. We believe that farming should not only provide for our needs but also protect and preserve the land for future generations.

Beyond our dedication to sustainable agriculture, community lies at the heart of our mission. We actively collaborate with local schools and organizations to offer educational programs about the importance of organic farming, nutrition, and the interconnectedness of all living beings. Our hope is to inspire the next generation of eco-conscious farmers and consumers who appreciate the value of fresh, locally grown produce.

We invite you to join us on a journey towards a more sustainable way of life.

Regenerating the land

It all started with our love of nature and the feeling that we need to do more to preserve our land for future generations.

Building a community

Community is the heart and soul of Libertad Farms. From building and designing community gardens to hosting classes on regenerative agriculture, we love bringing people together to learn about growing their own food.

Christian Ramirez

CEO

Christian is a passionate and motivated educator, finding creative ways to introduce regenerative agriculture to all in his community. Inspired by his military service, where he discovered the power of serving a greater cause, Christian embarked on a journey to steward the land and educate others about the importance of connecting with nature. As a farmer Christian and his family are building a small farm in Driftwood, Texas as a way to bring their community together.

Being a lifetime learner, Christian is a proud graduate of the Fearless Farmers Educators course and the BattleGround to Breaking Ground program through the Texas AgriLife Extension. Driven by a desire to build stronger community bonds, he serves as a platoon leader with The Mission Continues, a nonprofit focused on connecting veterans with under-resourced communities. Through initiatives like building school gardens with local elementary schools, he’s inspiring a love for gardening and nature in young hearts.

Christian envisions a future where communities come together to honor the land and understand the roots of their food. His unwavering passion for regenerative agriculture invites others to join him in creating a more sustainable and connected world.

Amanda

Marketing

I have always loved plants and gardening. I grew up with the cutest little garden in my backyard that I would walk through everyday and eat fresh strawberries, cherries, berries, and anything I could find off the bushes. But it wasn’t until 2020 when I built our first tiny garden bed in our backyard that I really fell in love with growing food for our family.

As a former bodybuilder, I learned the importance of the difference in quality of foods I was putting in my body. I love being able to now grow (most) of my own food and buy the rest local to really control what I put in my body. And I enjoy helping others learn the joys of healthy foods.

Aria

Chief Chicken Officer

Aria has been helping with our garden since she was 18 months old. She is not afraid to get her hands dirty and is responsible for making sure our soil is healthy and filled with worms. And while chickens are new to us all, she has taken the lead in ensuring our chickens are happy and fed.
